Rocky Mountain Art Group is Back
Well, we never really went anywhere but it's been a long time since we have posted any new content. I am not going to attempt to explain why. Many different things have happened that put this site and its content on hold.
At one point I had an attempt to get it back up and going but things didn't work out. Fortunately, we were able to keep the site up and running where we last left off and keep our URL so everything is still in place.
I am now excited to continue not only where we left off, but with some new ideas and types of content that will expand the scope of RMAG (Rocky Mountain Art Group) and our community.
My name is Eric and I, along with my wife Melissa, am a co-founder of RMAG. You may have read some of my posts or you may be new to our site. Either way, I would like to welcome anyone who would like to read about, learn about, explore, create, or even just appreciate art.
I will use this post to reintroduce Rocky Mountain Art Group, and discuss some of the changes and new additions to this site and its community.
What is Rocky Mountain Art Group
Rocky Mountain Art Group, or RMAG for short, was born in May 2016. Melissa and I were frequent visitors to museums and many other venues with art on display. Melissa always took photos of our adventures and I often had the urge to write about them.
We put them together to start RMAG which is a site for appreciating art of all kinds. We initially focused on arts of the Rocky Mountain and Southwest region but that eventually expanded to art of all kinds from anywhere in the world.
As we found ourselves going to art fairs and festivals we found ourselves speaking with many different artists. Often we would ask them if they would like to be shown in articles on our site and most of them would agree. Thus we had the urge and a vehicle to help support them.
So, Rocky Mountain Art Group is a place to appreciate, discuss, learn, teach, promote, and support art of all kinds.
Our Mission
At Rocky Mountain Art Group, our mission is to appreciate, discuss, learn, teach, promote, and support art of all kinds. This has not changed since day one and it is still our main goal going forward even with our current re-launch of this forum.
This website was originally started as a hobby. With that being said, the website does take considerable resources such as money and time. To be transparent, I will let you know that this site will be monetized with ads, affiliate links, sponsors, and more.
As entrepreneurs, we see this site as a great opportunity for all and will do our best to ensure that this site and its monetization are run ethically for all participants.
Upcoming Changes
As mentioned above, we intend to continue on the same path providing posts, articles, and information that helps to appreciate, discuss, learn, teach, promote, and support art of all kinds. To continue doing this there will be some new and exciting changes happening.
Our content will expand to include more types of articles such as “how to” articles, opinion pieces, historical conversations, and more. As always we will try to include as many pictures and visuals as we can.
A final decision has not yet been made but we are also considering adding more writers to our staff to provide some new and more diverse views to our content. We are looking forward to these changes and hope that our audience is also.
Final Words
We are excited to have Rocky Mountain Art Group back up and running with fresh content once again. We look forward to providing a platform to discuss and talk about art of all kinds with everyone. Please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions, we would love to hear from you.
